Ivanov
Nikolai A.

Senior Expert, Energy Department

 

Mr. Ivanov is a leading specialist at the IEF in climate programs, in low-carbon plans to develop energy, and in international collaboration for the rational use of energy.

He was born in Leningrad in 1960 and graduated from the Moscow State Automobile and Road Technical University in 1982. He worked at the All-Union Research Institute for the Building of Construction and Highway Equipment until 1991. He also took part in cleaning efforts after the nuclear accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in 1986.

Mr. Ivanov has been an economic journalist since 1991. He has worked for the magazines Russian Petroleum Investor, World Energy Policy and Political Journal; and for the Segodnya and Vek newspapers. He is a member of the Russian Union of Journalists and has received numerous professional awards. He received the PEGAZ Golden Medal for the best annual publication on the fuel and energy sector in Russia. He was nominated for a series of analytical articles he wrote on the subject.
